ATC 8120 Powers AI Vehicles with Rugged High-Performance Computing
A new high-performance computing system, the ATC 8120, has been designed for AI-driven vehicles. The platform supports advanced tasks like real-time deep learning and video analytics. Its rugged build and powerful components make it ideal for demanding environments, including law enforcement applications.
The ATC 8120 runs on the latest Intel® Core™ Series 2 processor and can pair with a 600W discrete NVIDIA® RTX™ GPU. This setup delivers the computing power needed for AI workloads, such as Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR/ANPR) and object detection. The system also optimises navigation and resource allocation in real time.
Built to endure harsh conditions, the ATC 8120 meets MIL-STD-810H standards for shock and vibration resistance. It operates reliably in extreme temperatures, from -40°C to 70°C. Power management features include ignition control, overcurrent protection, and undervoltage safeguards to ensure stable performance.
Storage options are extensive, with four removable 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD for high-speed data handling. The system also offers four PCIe 5.0/4.0 slots, allowing for extra GPUs or custom I/O cards. Connectivity includes dual M.2 Key B slots for 5G/LTE modules, an M.2 Key E for Wi-Fi 6, and multiple USB 3.2, serial, and PoE ports.
The ATC 8120-C4F bare-bone kit comes with an Intel® Core™ 7/5/3 processor, DDR5 SO-DIMM support, and a wide DC input range of 9V to 36V. This flexibility makes it adaptable to various vehicle power systems.
The ATC 8120 provides law enforcement and other AI-supported vehicles with a robust, high-performance computing solution. Its combination of processing power, storage capacity, and rugged design enables faster, data-driven decisions in the field. The system's expandability and reliability further enhance its suitability for mission-critical applications.
